“We are a family of four. Our children are 7 and 5 years old. We ask that our au pair speak German to the children because they go to a German school, and we speak limited German. We both work during the day, which is why we have always had someone to help with the kids. . Our au pair drives tthe children to the school, and then picks them up after school after lunch. She will supervise homework, then take the children out, or plan her day around an event at the library, a playdate, or the park, or another fun activity.

“We have a 14 month old baby. In addition to the baby we have a son named who is 14. He is with us every other weekend and his care will not be part of your duties. We are animal lovers and also have two well-behaved golden retriever dogs. We are outdoors frequently skiing, hiking, running, going to the beach and horseback riding Your job duties would include baby care (mostly standard hours-but likely to change some week to week) We are looking for someone experienced with children and infants, dependable, kind, structured, disciplined and flexible. I am also looking for someone who will help us raise a happy, well-behaved, disciplined and polite child. Other qualifications would include a proficient English speaker as well as an experienced and proficient and licensed driver.”

“We live in the city of Chicago which is located in Illinois, right in the heart of the United States. Chicago is a wonderful city with plenty of museums, shopping, arts, theatre and it is located on the beautiful lakefront of Lake Michigan. Our children are I. and Cr, 7 year-old twins. Our daughter is a lovely girl filled with much joy and a soul that captures your heart instantly. I. loves to ride horses, swim, attend weekly art classes, play with her dolls and learn French. C. is kind and warm-hearted. He loves to build, is very creative, he also loves art, playing hockey, soccer, lacrosse, golf, swimming and also takes French lessons. Our daughter has mild Cerebral Palsy in her legs so she wears braces and does daily exercises. She is not cognitively affected at all in fact she is a very bright little girl and gets around independently on her own. but, does need some limited help getting to and from school, during lunch/recess and of course going to twice weekly appointments to OT and PT….”

7 1/2 years old and will move into second grade in a progressive private elementary school in September. W. is almost 1,5 years old. We also have two very sweet and curious cats in the household. L. is a very outgoing, curious and energetic child who loves to dress-up, make music, do crafts, listen to stories and run around outdoors. She loves going to school and is excited about exploring reading, writing and math. The main responsibility of the Au Pair would be the care for W. She would also support us in driving L to and from school (about 30 min, each way) and caring for L after school (3pm)….”
